Best Customer Survey Software for Cleaning Companies (2026)

13 min read

I co-founded QuoteIQ and use it in my own business, so you know where I'm starting from: for most owner-run cleaning companies, QuoteIQ is the customer survey software I'd pick, with one honest catch. It has no survey builder of its own, but it sends every customer to a feedback page of your choosing the moment they pay, and it starts at $29.99 a month. If you want the survey built into the software, Jobber and MaidCentral do that, and I cover where each one wins below.

TL;DR

  • QuoteIQ — $29.99/mo. Best overall for owner-run crews: an instant feedback redirect after payment on every plan, plus your own survey link in the Invoice Paid message from Pro up. No built-in survey builder.

  • Jobber — $49/mo. Best if you want a built-in rating question and Google review requests in one app.

  • MaidCentral — from $450/mo. The deepest residential scorecards (per-cleaner scores, tips, low-score tickets) for maid services with real volume.

  • ZenMaid — $19/mo, with service ratings on the $49 Pro Max plan. The cheapest built-in ratings for maid services.

  • Otuvy — from $150/mo. Best for commercial cleaning contracts that need QR-code feedback and a client portal.

  • Housecall Pro, Simplesat and SurveyMonkey — Housecall Pro for review collection, Simplesat for a dedicated CSAT add-on, SurveyMonkey for a standalone survey builder.

How I Picked These

I looked at what a cleaning company owner actually needs: a feedback ask that goes out automatically after the job, a bad score that reaches me before a bad review does, and a price that makes sense for a crew of one to fifteen. I treat a survey (private questions about how the clean went) and a review (a public post) as two different asks, and I checked each tool on both. QuoteIQ is the one I co-founded and use, and I rank it first as my own position. I haven't run the other seven on my own jobs, so their details come from each vendor's published pricing and help pages, checked October 2026, and I quote standard monthly prices only. Where a page was vague, I say so. The BLS counts about 2.43 million janitors and building cleaners in 2025, and owners on both the home and commercial side run into this problem, so the list covers both.

1. QuoteIQ — Best Overall for Owner-Run Cleaning Companies

What it is

QuoteIQ is the quoting, scheduling, invoicing and payments app I co-founded. It does not have a survey builder or CSAT and NPS scoring, and I'm not going to pretend it does. What it has is a feedback loop wrapped around the payment, which is where most cleaning companies lose the chance to ask.

Pricing

Essentials is $29.99 a month for one user. Beginner is $99.99 (2 users), Pro $199.99 (4), Elite $299.99 (10) and Max $699.99 (20), with extra users at $25 each and a 14-day trial on every plan, per the QuoteIQ pricing page (text updated September 15, 2026). You can book a demo to see the settings first.

Where it fits

Here is how the loop works. When a customer pays online, the Review Multiplier sends them straight to your Google, Facebook, Yelp or Angi page, on every plan. You can swap that for a custom post-payment link, also on every plan, and point it at a short survey form instead. Pick one or the other. From Pro up, the Email & Text Automation Invoice Paid trigger sends a message you write, anywhere from right away to 24 months later, so a survey link can go in it. Elite and Max add timed email or SMS review requests. QuoteIQ Cam inspection forms, from Beginner, cover your own walk-through before you leave.

"As well it helps me keep my customers happy." — Tony Tompros (Google Play review)

Tradeoffs

No survey builder, no CSAT or NPS scores and no score-by-cleaner report, so survey results live in whatever form tool you connect. The review redirect and the custom link are either/or. A survey link inside an automated message starts at Pro ($199.99) and timed review requests at Elite ($299.99). Cam inspection forms are your quality check, not the customer's. If you want results by cleaner inside the software, look at MaidCentral below.

2. Jobber — Best for a Built-In Rating Question and Google Review Requests

What it is

Jobber is a general field-service app that cleaning companies use for scheduling, quoting and invoicing, with client communication tools built in. Two features matter here. Job follow-up emails go out when a job closes and can include an optional rating question; a client who answers lands on a feedback form Jobber hosts, and a report shows scores and written feedback. Reviews sends Google review requests by email or text, one per client every six months, with up to two reminders.

Pricing

Core is $49 a month for one user, Connect $139 (1 user), Grow $199 (1 user) and Plus $499 (5 users), with extra users at $29 and a 14-day trial, per Jobber's pricing page (last modified September 23, 2026).

Where it fits

Pick Jobber if you want a rating question and Google review requests inside the same app you already run jobs in, and you don't need scores by cleaner. Jobber's own guides on asking for a review, follow-up emails and thank-you notes are worth a read. Here is my Jobber vs QuoteIQ comparison for the full picture.

Tradeoffs

The survey is one rating question sent by email only, and the help article (updated May 2025) says "select plans" without naming them. Review requests go straight to Google with no private rating step. It isn't built for cleaning, so there are no per-cleaner scorecards, and every user past the included count costs $29 a month.

3. MaidCentral — Best Scorecards for Residential Maid Services With Volume

What it is

MaidCentral Scorecards are feedback requests sent automatically after each job, so owners can track satisfaction by job and by cleaner. According to MaidCentral's own article on scorecards, a drop in rating or a low score opens a ticket on the dashboard, customers who pay by card can tip from the scorecard, and a positive comment gets a one-click offer to post it as a Facebook, Google or Yelp review.

Pricing

The pricing page says MaidCentral starts at $450 a month for one location, and its calculator adds about $1.50 per completed job. Users and customers are unlimited, there is a one-time onboarding fee with no amount published, there is no free trial, and you can cancel anytime. The page calls the figure an estimate, with final pricing confirmed at sign-up.

Where it fits

This is the strongest residential option for a maid service with cleaners on payroll and the job volume to justify it: reports show each cleaner's average score and which customers never respond, and an owner can exclude a score when the complaint wasn't about the cleaning. MaidCentral's top-ten list covers the rest of the platform.

Tradeoffs

The $450 floor is about 15 times QuoteIQ's entry price. The scorecards page doesn't describe the questions or rating scale, and the detail on scoring comes from a 2021 article, so confirm it in a demo. There's no trial.

4. ZenMaid — Best Low-Cost Maid Service Software With Service Ratings

What it is

ZenMaid is scheduling and booking software for maid services. Its Pro Max plan includes service ratings that collect feedback from your customers, and ZenMaid's quality management article recommends a survey after every cleaning and says a private survey makes public bad reviews less likely.

Pricing

Starter is $19 a month (up to 40 appointments), Pro is $39 with unlimited appointments, and Pro Max is $49, per the ZenMaid pricing page. Plans are month-to-month with a 14-day trial, and SMS charges aren't included in any plan.

Where it fits

Solo operators and small maid services that want ratings inside the scheduling tool without a $450 commitment. Ratings land at $49, the same entry price as Jobber, and ZenMaid's Simplesat integration adds a survey to the post-cleaning email if you want more. See ZenMaid's maid service CRM page and my maid service software roundup.

Tradeoffs

Service ratings are on the top plan only, and the pricing page doesn't explain how ratings are collected or reported. It's built for maid services, so commercial and exterior crews will outgrow it. ZenMaid's own MaidCentral comparison and Jobber comparison are vendor-written, so read them that way.

5. Otuvy — Best for Commercial Cleaning Contracts

What it is

Otuvy, formerly CleanTelligent, is software for commercial cleaning companies built around inspections, work orders and reporting. Its QR codes open a location-specific form with no app or login, and the page says they can link to surveys that don't ask who you are. Clients also get a portal with inspection results and service history. I ranked Otuvy second in my cleaning checklist software roundup.

Pricing

Otuvy QM lists QM Inspect at $150 a month (5 base users, extra users $25) and QM Pro at $250 a month, which adds work orders, the client portal and QR-code forms (extra users $45). The page says annual billing is the discounted option and a one-time implementation fee is required with no amount published. There's no free trial, only demos.

Where it fits

Janitorial and building-service companies with site contracts, where feedback comes from building staff and the goal is proving quality to keep the contract. The BLS says only 5% of janitors and building cleaners are self-employed, so most of this work runs through crews like yours.

Tradeoffs

It's built for contracts, not one-time home cleans. The pricing page doesn't mention surveys, and its pages don't explain how they're sent or scored. Confirm the month-to-month price on a demo. Otuvy's commercial cleaning page and FAQ cover the rest.

6. Housecall Pro — Best for Review Collection Without a Survey Builder

What it is

Housecall Pro is a field-service app with review management. Per its Reviews overview, requests go out automatically when you finish a job, you can move the timing to after payment, and by default customers with Gmail addresses are sent to Google while the rest are split between Facebook and your website.

Pricing

Basic is $79 a month, Essentials $189 and Max $329 as listed, with 1, 5 and 8 users, $35 for each extra Max user, and a 14-day trial, per Housecall Pro's pricing page. The page shows lower annual figures ($59, $149 and $299) beside them.

Where it fits

A crew that mainly wants more public reviews and already runs jobs in Housecall Pro. Its guide to choosing review software and its note on automating follow-ups show how it thinks about the problem.

Tradeoffs

The help article describes no survey or private feedback step, and replying to reviews is a Premium Reviews feature. It isn't cleaning-specific, and the price climbs quickly past Basic.

7. Simplesat — Best Dedicated CSAT Add-On for Cleaning Software

What it is

Simplesat is customer satisfaction survey software built for support teams. Its ZenMaid integration puts a one-click CSAT or 5-star survey into the post-cleaning email, tracks scores by client, cleaner or time period, and alerts you on each low score.

Pricing

Starter is $149 a month (300 responses a month, 5 users), Pro $299 (1,000), Premium $599 (2,500) and Scale $999 (5,000), per Simplesat's pricing page, with a 14-day trial. The page shows lower figures ($119, $249, $499, $829) beside them without labeling them clearly, so I'm quoting the higher number.

Where it fits

A maid service already on ZenMaid that wants real CSAT trends by cleaner. Simplesat's guides to CSAT tools and NPS tools explain the metrics.

Tradeoffs

It's priced for support teams, and the page describes surveys living inside a helpdesk, not field service. Outside the ZenMaid integration, you'd be connecting it through tools like Zapier.

8. SurveyMonkey — Best Standalone Survey Builder

What it is

SurveyMonkey is the general survey platform, with customer satisfaction templates and a guide to what CSAT is.

Pricing

The pricing page lists a free Basic plan limited to 10 responses and 10 questions with no exports or reports, and a Standard plan at $149 a month billed monthly on the version I read (dated September 22, 2026). Annual plans run $300 to $1,668 a year, team plans start at $30 per user per month billed annually, and responses past a plan's limit cost $0.15 each. See its free vs paid comparison.

Where it fits

You want a survey you fully control and you're happy to send the link yourself, for example from QuoteIQ's Invoice Paid message or custom post-payment link. Its survey question guide and email templates save time.

Tradeoffs

It isn't connected to any cleaning software, the free plan runs out fast, and the monthly price is higher than most field-service apps on this list. You also get no per-cleaner reporting unless you build it into the questions.

What Operators Say

None of the three reviewers in this post (Tony Tompros above and these two) is tagged as a cleaning company in my review database, and none is writing about surveys. They're what QuoteIQ users say about the app overall.

"I use this app for all my quotes." — Judd Covert (Google Play review)
"Really helps with day to day operations" — Cory Heasman (Google Play review)

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best customer survey software for cleaning companies in 2026?

For most owner-run cleaning companies I'd start with QuoteIQ, because it ties the feedback ask to the payment and starts at $29.99 a month, then link a short survey from its Invoice Paid message or post-payment redirect. If you want the survey built in, Jobber adds a rating question to its job follow-up email from $49 a month, and MaidCentral offers full residential scorecards from $450 a month. Commercial contractors should look at Otuvy for QR-code feedback. QuoteIQ has no survey builder of its own, so decide whether you want one tool or two before you pay for either. I rank QuoteIQ first because I co-founded it and use it, not because it wins on survey depth; the others below win on specific features, and I say where.

How much does customer survey software for a cleaning company cost?

Expect $19 to $450 a month for survey features inside cleaning software, and $149 or more for a standalone tool. ZenMaid lists $19 to $49 a month, with service ratings only on the $49 Pro Max plan. Jobber starts at $49, Housecall Pro at $79 and Otuvy at $150, while MaidCentral starts at $450 plus about $1.50 per job. Simplesat starts at $149 and SurveyMonkey lists $149 monthly, with a free plan capped at 10 responses. QuoteIQ runs $29.99 to $699.99 a month. Extra users cost $25 a month on QuoteIQ and $29 on Jobber. If you go standalone, budget for the survey tool and your cleaning software separately. These are standard monthly rates from each vendor's page, checked October 2026.

What should a cleaning company customer satisfaction survey ask?

Keep it to three or four questions. I'd ask for an overall rating from 1 to 5, whether anything was missed, a short comment box, and whether they'd book you again. SurveyMonkey's CSAT guide defines the score as the share of 4 and 5 ratings out of all responses, which is easy to track by hand. ZenMaid's quality management article says to make the survey as simple as possible, because simple surveys are easier to analyze. SurveyMonkey also publishes a list of customer satisfaction survey questions if you want more ideas. Skip long questionnaires: a customer who just paid for a clean won't answer twenty questions, so put the rating first and a half-finished survey still gives you a score.

When should a cleaning company send a customer survey?

Send it right after the job is finished or paid, while the visit is fresh. MaidCentral sends scorecards automatically after each job, Jobber's job follow-up email goes out each time a job closes, and QuoteIQ's post-payment redirect and Invoice Paid automation fire when the customer pays. ZenMaid's article recommends a survey after every cleaning even though response rates start low, so customers come to expect it. For commercial sites, Otuvy's QR codes collect feedback between visits, and a monthly inspection report covers the rest. Jobber also limits Google review requests to one per client every six months, so keep the survey and the review ask separate in your automations.

Do I need survey software or is review software enough for a cleaning business?

Review software asks customers to post publicly, and survey software finds out what went wrong before it turns into a review. You need both. BrightLocal's 2026 survey found that 97% of consumers read reviews for local businesses and 47% won't use a business with fewer than 20 reviews, so the public side matters. But Housecall Pro's help article, for example, describes review requests that go to Google or Facebook with no private rating step. BrightLocal also found that 74% of consumers seek reviews written in the last three months, so a steady stream beats a one-time push. If you want both asks, pair review requests with a short survey. My review software roundup for cleaning businesses covers the public side.

How do I handle a bad survey score from a cleaning customer?

Call or text within a day, name the specific miss, and offer a fix such as a re-clean before you ask for anything else. MaidCentral opens a ticket on the owner dashboard when a score drops, Simplesat alerts you on each low score, and Jobber notifies the designated user when a client replies to the follow-up email. The other side is public: BrightLocal's 2026 survey says 80% of consumers are likely to use a business that responds to all of its reviews, so reply to the public ones too. With QuoteIQ, read each response in your form tool and follow up yourself. Don't argue in the survey thread: thank them, fix it, and then ask whether they'd rescore the visit.

Does QuoteIQ have a customer survey feature?

No. QuoteIQ has no survey builder and no CSAT or NPS scoring. What it has is a feedback path around the payment: every customer who pays online lands on your review page, or on a custom link you set, such as a short survey, in its place. On Pro, Elite and Max, the Invoice Paid automation sends a message you write, so a survey link can go in it, and Elite and Max add timed email or SMS review requests. QuoteIQ Cam inspection forms start at Beginner for your own quality check. The custom link replaces the review redirect, so choose which one your customers see first, and if you want scoring by cleaner without leaving the software, choose MaidCentral instead. See my Review Multiplier explainer for the review side.

How do I start a QuoteIQ free trial?

Pick a plan on the QuoteIQ pricing page, enter your details and start the 14-day trial. The page also lists yearly prices if you'd rather pay annually. A credit or debit card is required to start. Essentials is $29.99 a month for one user, and every plan includes the trial. Use the trial to set your review page or custom redirect link and, from Pro up, to build an Invoice Paid message with your survey link. Extra users cost $25 a month each, so crews of two or more should compare Beginner ($99.99 for two users) and Pro ($199.99 for four). If you'd like to see the review and automation settings first, book a walkthrough at bit.ly/QIQDemo.

Bottom Line

My pick for an owner-run cleaning company: run QuoteIQ for the quotes, scheduling and payments, point the post-payment moment at a short survey link, and read the answers yourself. It starts at $29.99 a month and doesn't pretend to be a survey tool. If you're a residential maid service with the volume, MaidCentral's scorecards are the deepest option, and if you want a built-in rating question for less, Jobber or ZenMaid's Pro Max plan get you there. Commercial crews should book an Otuvy demo. If you want to see how QuoteIQ's feedback loop would fit your cleaning business, book a demo.
