Painting Scheduling Software With Google Calendar Sync 2026

Oct 10
11 min read

I run my crew on QuoteIQ and I co-founded it, so weigh my pick with that in mind. For painting contractors who keep their schedule in Google Calendar, QuoteIQ is the one I'd choose in 2026: it pushes scheduled jobs to Google with a color per team member, and your own Google events show up inside QuoteIQ as a private overlay. The catch is that sync starts on the $99.99 Beginner plan. Below is how seven other tools handle Google Calendar sync, with the direction, the lag and the plan each one needs.

TL;DR

  • QuoteIQ is first because jobs push to Google, your Google events overlay QuoteIQ, and it starts on Beginner at $99.99 a month.

  • PaintScout is the painting-only option, with one-way or two-way sync, but you need the $99 Operations add-on on top of its $119 Sales plan.

  • JobNimbus has three sync modes, including two-way for tasks and events, with prices by quote only.

  • DripJobs includes Google Calendar from Advanced at $147 a month, and has no free trial.

  • Jobber and Housecall Pro both sync one way, and Jobber's Google feed refreshes about every 12 hours.

  • Workiz and Houzz Pro round out the list: Workiz is one-way with a roughly 24-hour Google refresh, and I couldn't confirm a Houzz Pro price.

How I Picked These

This list is for painting contractors who run their schedule through Google Calendar. I weighed four things: which way the sync flows, how long Google takes to show a change, which plan you must buy to get it, and what the cheapest working setup costs on standard monthly billing. The audience is large and mostly small: BLS counts 326,900 construction and maintenance painters in 2025 and lists 31 percent as self-employed, and IBISWorld puts the US house painting and decorating industry at $28.4 billion across about 217,000 businesses in 2026. I kept only tools whose Google Calendar sync is documented on a vendor page I could read, with prices and sync details pulled from each vendor's own pricing and help pages on October 10, 2026. I run a pressure washing company and co-founded QuoteIQ, which is why it's #1, and I'm not a painter, so for competitors I'm relying on their published docs, not on running their products. Where a vendor hides a price or skips a detail, I say so.

1. QuoteIQ — Best Overall for Painting Contractors on Google Calendar

What it is

QuoteIQ is the field service platform I co-founded and use for my own business, and it has a page built for painting contractors. Its Google Calendar sync pushes scheduled jobs to your Google calendar with a color per team member, including every occurrence of a recurring job plus reschedules and cancellations. Your own Google events appear inside the QuoteIQ calendar as a private overlay that only you can see. During setup you tick which job fields land on the Google side and set how far back to backfill.

Pricing

Essentials is $29.99 a month for one user, but Google Calendar sync starts on Beginner at $99.99 (2 users). Pro is $199.99 (4 users), Elite is $299.99 (10) and Max is $699.99 (20), billed monthly, with extra users at $25 a month on any plan, per the QuoteIQ pricing page checked October 10, 2026. Every plan has a 14-day trial. Sync is metered in IQ Credits, and Beginner includes 1,500 a month.

Where it fits

Owner-operators and small crews where the owner builds the schedule in QuoteIQ and wants it in Google Calendar next to family and personal commitments.

Tradeoffs

Sync is an owner-level connection, so a team member on restricted permissions won't see it, and it runs on credits: if your balance runs out, syncing stops. Assigning a full crew to a single job needs Max, or an Elite plan bought before April 2, 2026, per QuoteIQ's October 2026 update. QuoteIQ also isn't painting-only software, so if you want a tool built around nothing but paint estimates, look at PaintScout next.

"Im really liking quote iq it makes scheduling a lot easier" — Danny Huebner (App Store review)

2. PaintScout — Best for Painting-Only Estimating

What it is

PaintScout is sales and estimating software for painting companies. Its Google Calendar integration syncs sales events two-way, one-way out to Google, or one-way in from Google, and shared calendars only come in one way. Date, time, location, description, all-day and multi-day status and deletions all sync. It requires the paid Operations add-on. I compared the two tools in PaintScout vs QuoteIQ for painting contractors.

Pricing

Sales is $119 a month and the Operations add-on, which covers job management and scheduling, is $99 a month on monthly billing ($99 and $79 on annual). Team seats are $20 per user per month, per PaintScout's pricing page checked October 10, 2026. A synced setup runs about $218 a month before seats.

Where it fits

Painting companies where the owner works mostly on the estimating and sales side and wants to choose which direction the Google sync flows.

Tradeoffs

Recurring Google events show only their first occurrence in PaintScout, title edits made in Google don't carry over, and your PaintScout and Google time zones have to match. The help page doesn't say how often the sync refreshes.

3. JobNimbus — Best for Choosing Your Sync Mode

What it is

JobNimbus is a contractor CRM. Its Google Calendar sync has three modes: two-way for tasks and events, two-way for tasks only, or one-way for tasks only. Calendar syncing is only available to users with web access.

Pricing

JobNimbus publishes no prices. Its pricing page shows Essentials (up to 3 users), Pro (up to 10), Premium (up to 19) and Enterprise (20 and up), each with a request-pricing button, checked October 10, 2026.

Where it fits

Contractors who want Google events coming back into the CRM and don't mind getting a quote before they can compare costs.

Tradeoffs

No published price, no stated refresh rate, and the help page doesn't say which plans include sync or whether scheduled jobs go across.

4. DripJobs — Best for a Painting Sales Pipeline on Advanced

What it is

DripJobs is a CRM aimed at painting and other home service contractors, with a job and appointment scheduler on every plan. Google Calendar integration is limited to Advanced and Growth. The help article I read says you can connect only one Google calendar at a time and doesn't say whether the sync is one-way or two-way. My side-by-side is DripJobs vs QuoteIQ for painting contractors.

Pricing

Pro is $97 a month and Advanced is $147 a month, each with one admin user. Growth, for five or more users, is quoted. There is no free trial and no contract, per DripJobs' pricing page checked October 10, 2026.

Where it fits

Painting companies that want a sales pipeline first and are willing to pay for Advanced to get Google Calendar.

Tradeoffs

Sync direction isn't documented on the pages I read, only one Google calendar connects at a time, and there is no trial.

5. Jobber — Best for Seeing Visits in Google, One Way

What it is

Jobber is general home service software. Its calendar sync is one-way, from Jobber into your calendar app, and your personal appointments don't appear in Jobber. Google refreshes the feed roughly every 12 hours and offers no manual refresh. It covers items from two weeks back to 20 weeks ahead, pauses at Google's 1,111-item cap, and has to be set up on Jobber.com rather than the mobile app. Here is my full Jobber vs QuoteIQ comparison.

Pricing

Core is $49 a month for one user, Connect is $139 and Grow is $199, with extra users at $29 a month each, per Jobber's pricing page checked October 10, 2026. The help article doesn't say which plans include calendar sync.

Where it fits

Crews that only need to see the day's visits on a personal calendar and can live with a lag.

Tradeoffs

Changes can take up to half a day to appear, and a busy schedule can hit Google's item cap.

6. Housecall Pro — Best for a Read-Only Google Mirror

What it is

Housecall Pro pushes jobs, estimates and events to Google Calendar one way. Per its help article, changing an HCP event in Google doesn't update the job, and the integration requires web access, so Field Tech role employees can't use it. I wrote up the full Housecall Pro vs QuoteIQ comparison separately.

Pricing

Basic is $79 a month for one user, Essentials is $189 for 5 users, and Max is $329 for 8 users with extra users at $35 a month, per Housecall Pro's pricing page checked October 10, 2026. The help article doesn't list which plans include the Google Calendar app.

Where it fits

Crews already running on Housecall Pro that only need a mirror of jobs in Google.

Tradeoffs

No sync timing is stated, and edits made in Google don't flow back to the job.

7. Workiz — Best for Teams Already Dispatching in Workiz

What it is

Workiz syncs jobs, leads, tasks and events from Workiz to a personal calendar, one way, per its calendar sync article. Workiz says Google's refresh typically happens every 24 hours. Calendar sync is an add-on you switch on in the Feature Center, and you can sync one user or all users.

Pricing

Workiz's pricing page lists Standard, Pro and Ultimate with request-pricing buttons and no published prices, checked October 10, 2026. A 7-day free trial is offered.

Where it fits

Teams that already dispatch in Workiz and can accept a day-old Google view.

Tradeoffs

A roughly 24-hour lag, an add-on, and no published prices.

8. Houzz Pro — Best for Subcontractor-Heavy Jobs

What it is

Houzz Pro connects to Google, iCloud, Office 365, Exchange and Outlook through Cronofy, and per its calendar help page schedule items and tasks sync to your calendar, either only items assigned to you or all of them. Its schedule tool assigns items to your team, subcontractors or clients and shows them in Gantt, calendar and list views.

Pricing

I couldn't load a price on Houzz's own site on October 10, 2026, so I'm not quoting one. Get a quote from Houzz before you plan around it.

Where it fits

Painting contractors who run larger jobs with subcontractors and want a Gantt-style schedule.

Tradeoffs

The help page doesn't say which plans include sync, how fast it refreshes or whether it is two-way, and its copy-link method can cause delays.

What Operators Say

"Quote IQ has been such a help to my business and makes quoting so much easier and is such a time saver!!" — Merrick Harvey (App Store review)
"Super easy to use, game changer who is always on the go." — Derik Ermish (App Store review)

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best scheduling software with Google Calendar sync for painting contractors?

For most painting crews I'd pick QuoteIQ, and I co-founded it, so test it yourself. It pushes scheduled jobs to Google Calendar with a color per team member, shows your Google events as a private overlay inside QuoteIQ, and starts on the Beginner plan at $99.99 a month. Painting is mostly small shops, with BLS listing 31 percent of painters as self-employed. If you want painting-only estimating, PaintScout offers one-way or two-way sync once you add its Operations add-on. Check the plan before you buy, because several tools put the sync behind a higher tier, and the direction of the sync differs more than the feature lists suggest.

Does Jobber sync with Google Calendar?

Yes, but only one way. Jobber sends your visits, tasks, events and requests into Google Calendar, and your personal appointments never show up in Jobber. Google refreshes the feed roughly every 12 hours with no manual refresh, the feed covers two weeks back to 20 weeks ahead, and syncing pauses past Google's 1,111-item limit. You choose which item types sync, including reminders and unassigned items, and you set it up from Jobber.com rather than the mobile app. Jobber's calendar article doesn't say which plans include it, so check Jobber's pricing page, where Core starts at $49 a month. Treat the feed as a read-only view of your day, not a place to move jobs.

Does Housecall Pro sync with Google Calendar?

Yes, one way. Housecall Pro pushes jobs, estimates and events to Google Calendar, and changing an HCP event in Google doesn't update the job in Housecall Pro. The integration needs web access, so Field Tech role employees can't use it. The setup article gives no refresh timing and doesn't list which plans include it. Basic starts at $79 a month, Essentials is $189 and Max is $329 on Housecall Pro's pricing page, so confirm the tier with the vendor before you buy. The pricing page itself doesn't mention Google Calendar, so treat the help article as the source for what syncs, and move jobs inside Housecall Pro rather than in Google.

How much does painting scheduling software with Google Calendar sync cost?

On standard monthly prices checked October 10, 2026, QuoteIQ is $99.99 on Beginner, DripJobs is $147 on Advanced, and PaintScout is about $218 if you add the Operations add-on to the Sales plan, before $20-per-user seats. Jobber starts at $49 and Housecall Pro at $79, though neither says which plan includes sync. JobNimbus and Workiz quote prices, and I couldn't confirm Houzz Pro's. Compare plans on QuoteIQ's pricing page and DripJobs' pricing page before you commit. Prices are the standard monthly rate, not the annual discount, and extra users cost $25 a month on QuoteIQ and $29 on Jobber. Cost the full setup, not the headline plan, since sync often sits on a higher tier or an add-on.

Is Google Calendar sync one-way or two-way in painting software?

It depends on the tool. QuoteIQ pushes jobs to Google and shows your Google events as a private overlay only you can see. PaintScout lets you choose two-way or either one-way direction, per its help page, and JobNimbus offers two-way for tasks and events. QuoteIQ's overlay also lets you edit a Google event without leaving the app. Jobber, Housecall Pro and Workiz are one-way out of the software, and DripJobs' help pages don't say. With a one-way sync, a reschedule made in Google never reaches the job, so move jobs in the scheduling software and let Google mirror them. Ask each vendor which edits, if any, flow back before you pick one.

How often does Google Calendar update from a scheduling app?

For feed-based one-way syncs it can take hours. Jobber says Google refreshes its feed roughly every 12 hours, and Workiz says Google's refresh typically happens every 24 hours. Neither can force a faster update, and Workiz suggests texting or emailing your team for urgent changes. PaintScout, JobNimbus, Housecall Pro and QuoteIQ don't state a refresh time on the pages I read, so ask each vendor before you rely on speed for same-day changes. A feed that refreshes every 12 to 24 hours is the wrong tool for a crew that needs same-day accuracy, so if your crew checks the calendar at 6 a.m., plan around that delay. Jobber's article is linked in the entry above.

Who can connect Google Calendar to painting scheduling software?

Usually the owner, or an office user on the web. QuoteIQ's sync is an owner-level connection, so a team member on restricted permissions won't see it. Housecall Pro needs web access, so Field Tech roles can't connect it, JobNimbus syncing is only for users with web access, and Jobber's setup has to be done on Jobber.com rather than the app. Workiz can sync one user or all users, so ask whether your crew leads need the sync or only the owner, and test the connection with a real account before the crew depends on it. For more on how these tools compare outside Google Calendar, see my painting scheduling software roundup.

How do I start a QuoteIQ trial?

Sign up for any QuoteIQ plan and you get a 14-day trial; a credit or debit card is required to start. Google Calendar sync isn't on Essentials, so if you want to test it during the trial, pick Beginner or higher on the pricing page and connect your Google account from the sync dialog. Sync uses IQ Credits, with 1,500 a month on Beginner, and extra users cost $25 a month on any plan. Beginner includes two users, Pro four, Elite ten and Max twenty, and credits reset each billing cycle without rolling over. If you'd rather see it first, book a QuoteIQ demo and ask to see the Google Calendar setup.

Bottom Line

If Google Calendar is where your schedule really lives, I'd start with QuoteIQ on Beginner at $99.99 a month. It's the tool I use and I co-founded it, so run the trial and push back on me. If you only want painting-specific estimating and don't mind adding Operations, PaintScout is the honest alternative. If one-way and a half-day lag are fine, Jobber at $49 gets the job done. Book a QuoteIQ demo and ask to see the sync dialog live.
