Best Holiday Decor Installation Software in 2026 (Ranked)

11 min read

I co-founded QuoteIQ and run my own exterior cleaning company on it, so yes, I put it first. For holiday decor installers it is the one I would start a crew on: it measures a roofline from satellite view, books install and takedown on one calendar, and carries last year's customers into the next season. Opervo is the cheapest lights-first alternative at $24.99 a month, and LightQuoter is free if quoting and mockups are all you need. This is the broad version of the list, covering wreaths, garland, trees and commercial decorating as well as lights, and if you only hang lights, my Christmas light installation software roundup narrows it down.

TL;DR

  • QuoteIQ: $29.99 to $699.99 a month. Best overall for decor crews of two to ten.

  • Opervo: $24.99 a month. Best low-cost pick for solo and small lights-first crews.

  • LightQuoter: free, with a 2% fee on card payments. Best free quoting and mockup tool.

  • Strandr: no price shown. Best for lighting design mockups, and it says it is not a CRM.

  • Service Autopilot and Real Green: best for larger route-based operations and lawn companies adding decor.

  • Jobber and Housecall Pro: best for crews already on a general field service app.

How I Picked These

I run a pressure cleaning company on QuoteIQ and co-founded it, so this ranking is my position, and I say so up front. I have not run a decor crew on the other seven tools. What I say about them comes from each vendor's published pricing and feature pages, which I read in October 2026, using standard monthly prices only. Here is what I weighed for a crew of two to ten. Can I quote a roofline without a ladder? Can install and takedown live on one schedule? Does the tool bring last year's customers back? Where do the bins and boxes get tracked between seasons? And what does it cost at my crew size, including extra users? When a vendor does not publish a price, I mark it as not shown instead of guessing. The review quotes below come from my reviews database, which has no holiday decor reviewers, so they are from pressure washing operators who use the same quoting and scheduling tools.

1. QuoteIQ: Best Overall for Holiday Decor Installers

What it is

QuoteIQ is the field service platform I co-founded: quotes, scheduling, invoicing, payments, photos and customer records in one app. For decor work, MapMeasure Pro measures a roofline and roof pitch from satellite imagery and attaches the screenshot to the estimate, so the customer sees what you measured before you ever visit. Install and takedown go on the calendar as multi-day jobs, and recurring jobs carry a customer into the next season. QuoteIQ's own holiday lighting page also describes customers self-booking takedown and storage.

Pricing

The pricing page, updated September 2026, lists Essentials at $29.99 for 1 user, Beginner at $99.99 for 2, Pro at $199.99 for 4, Elite at $299.99 for 10 and Max at $699.99 for 20. Extra users are $25 a month, and every plan has a 14-day trial. MapMeasure Pro and QuoteIQ Cam start at Beginner, so a crew that measures from satellite starts at $99.99, not $29.99. Inventory and customer self-scheduling start at Elite.

Where it fits

Crews of two to ten doing 50 to 200 installs in a short season, which is the profile I built it around. If you sell by knocking doors, my door knocking app roundup for holiday lighting companies covers the lead side. To see it on your own roofline, book a QuoteIQ demo.

Tradeoffs

There is no lighting mockup tool that draws lights on a customer's house photo. Strandr and LightQuoter do that. Inventory and self-scheduling sit on Elite at $299.99, which is a lot for a crew under five. QuoteIQ is not built only for holiday work, so your per-foot, wreath and garland prices are line items you set up once.

I've started using it to make quotes and give estimates for all my power washing jobs! — Isaiah Dunlap (Google Play review)

2. Opervo: Best Low-Cost Pick for Solo and Small Crews

What it is

Opervo is written around holiday lighting. Its holiday page lists e-signed estimates, a roofline trace on a map that gives linear footage for your per-foot rate, one calendar for install, mid-season fixes and takedown, route optimization, and recurring rebook agreements with automated early-fall texts.

Pricing

The pricing page shows Solo at $24.99 a month and Team at $54.99 for up to 10 team members, with Growth on custom pricing. It says there are no per-user fees, and the trial is 14 days. The Solo plan card says operator plus one helper, while a table on the same page says up to one for team management, so confirm before you count heads.

Where it fits

A one-truck operation starting out, or a lights-first crew that wants the lowest bill.

Tradeoffs

The holiday page does not mention inventory, and it tracks storage on the schedule without describing a dedicated storage feature. It is lights-first, so wreath and garland jobs are yours to set up.

3. LightQuoter: Best Free Quoting Tool for Light Installers

What it is

LightQuoter is quoting software for holiday light installers. It lists satellite roofline measurement, visual light mockups, digital signatures, Stripe payments, job scheduling, takedowns and a seasonal renewal queue with one-click offers.

Pricing

The pricing section shows a Free plan at $0 a month with a 2% platform fee on Stripe payments, plus Stripe's own 2.9% and $0.30. Pro is $497 a year with a 0% platform fee, and no monthly price is listed. There is no trial because every feature is open from day one.

Where it fits

A new crew that wants to measure, mock up, quote and renew without paying a monthly bill.

Tradeoffs

The page does not mention storage, and the platform fee takes a cut of every card payment on the Free plan. Like Opervo, it is built for lights.

4. Strandr: Best for Lighting Design Mockups

What it is

Strandr is design software. You upload one house photo, add lights and decorations such as wreaths, garland and bows, and send the customer a mockup. It lists built-in measuring tools, crop frames for proposal templates and exports without watermarks.

Pricing

Professional is the only plan listed, and the site shows no price. It offers a 7-day free trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee, so confirm the price in the trial.

Where it fits

A sales tool for crews that close more jobs when the customer sees the finished house. It works next to a CRM, not instead of one.

Tradeoffs

Strandr says it is not a CRM. The page does not mention scheduling, takedown or inventory, so you still need another app for the rest of the job.

5. Service Autopilot: Best for Larger Route-Based Operations

What it is

Service Autopilot is lawn and green industry software with a Christmas lights page. It lists estimate templates for standardized packages, schedule changes when weather hits, automatic takedown scheduling at season's end, route optimization and job costing.

Pricing

The pricing page shows Startup at $49 a month, Pro at $199 and Pro Plus at $499, each marked with a sign-up fee whose amount is not shown. Elite is contact for pricing, and the trial length is not stated. Startup includes 1 business user and 1 mobile user.

Where it fits

Bigger crews with many stops a day, especially lawn companies that already run it and add decor in winter.

Tradeoffs

The sign-up fee and the user caps raise the real cost. The Christmas lights page does not describe a roofline measuring tool.

6. Real Green: Best for Lawn Companies Adding Holiday Decor

What it is

Real Green is green industry software with a holiday light installation page. It lists proposals with decor notes, an online measuring tool for roof lines, color-coded calendars, route optimization, inventory tracking, prepay letters and renewals, and installment billing.

Pricing

The pricing page shows three plans, Small Business for three crews or more, Professional and Enterprise, with no dollar amounts. It points you to a custom quote.

Where it fits

A multi-crew lawn or landscape company that wants decor inside the software it already uses.

Tradeoffs

There is no public price to compare, and the holiday page does not mention takedown or physical storage by name.

7. Jobber: Best Known General Field Service Option

What it is

Jobber is a general field service app for quotes, scheduling and invoicing. Its academy publishes a holiday lighting bidding guide, but the product itself is not decor specific. I compared it head to head in my Jobber vs QuoteIQ breakdown.

Pricing

Standard monthly prices on the pricing page are Core at $49, Connect at $139 and Grow at $199, each for 1 user, and Plus at $499 for 5 users. Extra users are $29 a month, and the trial is 14 days.

Where it fits

Crews that want a widely used, polished app and already run other services on it.

Tradeoffs

Extra users add up fast. I did not see a decor-specific measuring or mockup tool on its pricing or guide pages, so you build your own per-foot and per-piece line items.

8. Housecall Pro: Best for Crews Already on It

What it is

Housecall Pro is a home services platform. Its site lists estimating, scheduling, dispatch, service plans and payments. I wrote up the differences in my Housecall Pro vs QuoteIQ comparison.

Pricing

The pricing page shows month-to-month prices of $79 for Basic with 1 user, $189 for Essentials with 5 users and $329 for Max with 8 users, plus $35 a month per extra user on Max. Annual billing is lower, but I list monthly only. The trial is 14 days.

Where it fits

A home services company that already runs on it and wants decor work on the same calendar.

Tradeoffs

It has no holiday decor page that I could find, and Basic covers one user.

What Operators Say

Two more reviews from my database. They come from pressure washing operators, so read them as comments on the quoting and professional-look side of the tool.

As a new power washing business owner I was having a difficult time trying to figure out how much would I'd have to charge for a job or worry to hire a secretary but this App does it all for you. — David Sanchez (Google Play review)
Also one of the most important things is it adds that professional look to my business. — Terry Lair (Google Play review)

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best software for a holiday decor installation business in 2026?

For a crew of two to ten, I rank QuoteIQ first, and I co-founded it, so weigh that. It measures a roofline from satellite view, puts install and takedown on one calendar, carries customers into the next season and keeps job photos with each customer. Opervo is the lowest-cost lights-first alternative at $24.99 a month, and LightQuoter is free if you only need measuring, mockups and quotes. Jobber and Housecall Pro also work, but you build your own decor line items. If you also sell wreaths, garland and commercial decorating, pick the tool that lets you add your own line items. The table above lists every standard monthly price I could verify in October 2026.

How much does holiday decor installation software cost?

Standard monthly prices run from free to about $700. LightQuoter is $0 with a 2% platform fee on card payments, and Opervo starts at $24.99. QuoteIQ starts at $29.99 and reaches $699.99 on Max, with MapMeasure Pro starting at Beginner. Service Autopilot starts at $49 plus a sign-up fee, Jobber at $49 and Housecall Pro at $79. Strandr and Real Green do not publish a price. Extra users are $25 on QuoteIQ and $29 on Jobber, while Opervo says it has no per-user fees. Compare plans by feature, not by the starting price, because some decor-relevant tools sit on higher tiers. All figures are from vendor pages, October 2026.

How much should I charge for holiday decor and Christmas light installation?

Jobber's bidding guide lists roof lighting at $150 to $2,000, trees at $75 to $1,500 each, a full package at $750 to $5,000 and takedown at $100 to $400. Service Autopilot's guide suggests pricing by the linear foot at about $5 to $8 and aiming for a 50 to 60 percent gross margin. These are published benchmarks, not my quotes, and your market will differ, so check them against your own last three jobs. Measure the roofline first, set your per-foot and per-piece rates, and price takedown as its own line so the customer sees the full season price up front. Jobber's guide puts the 2025 U.S. average for a holiday light installation at $442.

Can one app schedule holiday decor installation and takedown?

Yes, several can. QuoteIQ books install and takedown as multi-day jobs on one calendar, and on Elite and above customers can self-book through InstaSchedule. Opervo tracks each customer's install, mid-season fixes and takedown on one calendar. LightQuoter lists takedown scheduling for January and February, and Service Autopilot says it can schedule takedowns automatically at season's end. Real Green's page mentions color-coded calendars and route optimization but not takedown by name. Booking takedown when you sell the install keeps January from turning into a scramble. For the lead side, see my door knocking app guide.

How do I track holiday decor inventory and storage between seasons?

Treat every bin, box and wreath as a product with a location. QuoteIQ's inventory module, on Elite and Max, tracks products across locations that include a storage unit, a truck and a job site, and logs receipts, damage and loss. Real Green's holiday page lists inventory tracking, and Opervo tracks storage on its schedule without a dedicated storage feature. LightQuoter's page does not mention storage. QuoteIQ Cam keeps before and after photos with each job and starts at Beginner. Label every box with the customer address and log it when it goes into storage. If you are small, a spreadsheet by customer address still beats guessing in November.

How do I get last year's holiday decor customers to renew?

Renewals are the cheapest sales you will make, so start in early fall. Opervo lists recurring rebook agreements and automated early-fall texts. LightQuoter has a seasonal renewal queue with one-click offers, and Real Green lists prepay letters and renewals on its holiday page. QuoteIQ's recurring jobs carry a customer into the next season on the calendar. Service Autopilot's guide recommends early-bird renewal offers, which works with any tool. Put last year's price and photos in front of the customer so accepting the offer is one tap, and send it before your first install of the season. Track who renewed so next year's list builds itself.

How many injuries come from holiday decorating each year?

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says about 14,900 people were treated in emergency rooms for holiday decorating injuries in the 2023 season, roughly 160 a day, with nearly half involving falls. For people who do this as a job, the Bureau of Labor Statistics counted 5,070 fatal work injuries in 2024, including 844 from falls, slips and trips. Neither source isolates decor installers, and both are national totals, so treat them as context, not a trade statistic. Falls show up in both numbers, so build realistic time for roof and ladder work into every quote and keep photos of the setup on every install.

How do I start a QuoteIQ trial?

Pick a plan on the QuoteIQ pricing page and register. Every plan has a 14-day trial, and a credit or debit card is required to start. If you want to see it against your own roofline first, book a demo. Beginner at $99.99 is the first plan with MapMeasure Pro and QuoteIQ Cam, and Elite at $299.99 adds inventory and InstaSchedule, so start on the plan that matches what you will use in your first season. The demo covers measuring, scheduling and photos on a real address, which is the fastest way to see whether Beginner is enough or whether you need Elite. Extra users are $25 a month. If you are unsure, book the demo first.

Bottom Line

If you decorate for a living, pick the tool before install season starts, not in the middle of it. I would start a crew on QuoteIQ because it puts measuring, scheduling, photos and renewals in one place, and I would be upfront that it has no lighting mockup tool. If you only hang lights and want the lowest bill, look at Opervo or LightQuoter, and add Strandr if mockups close your sales. Set takedown dates when you sell the install, and see QuoteIQ on your own roofline.
