Best Cabinet Refinishing Company Software (2026): Top 8
QuoteIQ is the software I'd put a cabinet refinishing company on in 2026. I co-founded it and run my own pressure washing business on it, and I have never refinished a cabinet, so I'm judging the quoting, photos and billing, not the spray finish. It starts at $29.99 a month and builds good-better-best estimates on every plan. Below are eight tools, what each one costs, and where each one falls short.
TL;DR
#1 QuoteIQ: my pick, from $29.99 a month. Good-better-best estimates on every plan and job photos on the customer's estimate. No cabinet door-and-drawer calculator.
#2 DripJobs: a painting CRM whose own page talks about cabinet production rates and a cabinet refinishing business. $97 a month, with Production Rates a $99 add-on.
#3 PaintScout: estimating built on production rates "from walls and trim to cabinets." $119 a month for Sales.
#4 Jobber: lists cabinet refinishing among its quote-draft job types. $49 a month for one user.
#5 BuilderPrime: built for cabinet refacing and replacement companies. $300 a month platform fee plus users, which is more than a small refinisher needs.
#6 to #8 Housecall Pro, Estimate Rocket and JobNimbus: general tools refinishers shortlist. None of their pages that I read mention cabinets.
How I Picked These
I run a pressure washing business on QuoteIQ and co-founded the company, so QuoteIQ sits at number one because that is my position, not because a scoring panel put it there. I have never refinished a cabinet and I have not used the seven other tools. For those, I read each vendor's published pricing and trade pages on October 15, 2026, and I only call a tool cabinet-aware if its own page uses the word cabinet. What I weighed: monthly price for a crew of one to four, since the Bureau of Labor Statistics counts 326,900 construction and maintenance painters and 31% of them are self-employed; whether a kitchen can be quoted as separate lines for doors, drawers and boxes; whether a customer can choose a finish tier; and whether photos and deposits travel with the estimate. Prices are standard monthly rates. This list is aimed at refinishing companies with small crews, not cabinet showrooms.

1. QuoteIQ — Best Overall for Cabinet Refinishing Companies
What it is
QuoteIQ is the field service CRM I run my own business on and co-founded. Three pieces matter for cabinet work. Options Estimates give the customer good-better-best tiers on every plan, say standard paint, a premium finish with new hardware, or both with soft-close hinges. Line items accept sub-items, so one kitchen can be a single parent line with doors, drawer fronts, boxes and hardware beneath it. And photos attached to the estimate show on the customer's estimate page. The Before/After generator can add an AI preview image to an estimate too; it spends IQ Credits, and I'd treat it as a conversation starter, not a color match.
"Quote iq is very easy to use and has sped up the estimating, invoicing, and billing process for my business." — Deep South Pressure (App Store review)
You can book a QuoteIQ demo and walk through a kitchen quote before you pay anything.
Pricing
Standard monthly rates on the QuoteIQ pricing page: Essentials $29.99 (1 user), Beginner $99.99 (2 users), Pro $199.99 (4 users), Elite $299.99 (10 users) and Max $699.99 (20 users). Extra users are $25 a month on any plan, and every plan has a 14-day trial. The cabinet-relevant gates: QuoteIQ Cam with its before-and-after photo editor starts at Beginner, job costing starts at Pro, and sending a full proposal costs 100 IQ Credits per estimate on Essentials, Beginner and Pro, while Elite and Max include it.
Where it fits
A solo refinisher or a crew of two to four who sells kitchens by the job, wants a tiered quote that looks professional, and doesn't want to pay painting-CRM prices while the business is small. If proposals are how you close, my posts on proposal software for painting contractors and proposal software for kitchen remodelers go deeper.
Tradeoffs
I found no door-and-drawer production-rate template or cabinet calculator in QuoteIQ's documentation, so you build your own line items and save them as an estimate template. MapMeasure Pro traces exterior surfaces and does not help with cabinet faces, so for cabinet work the move from Essentials to Beginner is about QuoteIQ Cam photos and forms, not measuring. I also don't see an EPA lead-safe checklist in the documentation, so if you work in older homes you'd build that form yourself or keep the records elsewhere. And extra users cost $25 each, so a bigger crew adds up.
2. DripJobs — Best for Painters Who Price Cabinets by Production Rate
What it is
DripJobs is a CRM built for painting companies. Its painting business CRM page names cabinets several times: production rates for cabinets and trim, cabinets among the substrates you can select, cabinets as an itemized category, and a cabinet refinishing business as a use case. That is the most direct cabinet language of any painting tool I read.
Pricing
On its pricing page, Pro is $97 a month and Advanced is $147, each with one admin user, and Growth for five or more users is custom. Add-ons are listed separately: Chat at $25, Production Rates at $99 and Job Costing at $49 a month. It is month-to-month with no contracts.
Where it fits
A painter or refinisher who wants to price cabinets from production rates and is willing to pay for the add-on that does it.
Tradeoffs
The cabinet rates are an extra $99 a month on top of the plan, each plan comes with one admin user until you reach the custom tier, and I saw no free trial listed, so you commit before you can load a real kitchen into it. I compare the two directly in DripJobs vs QuoteIQ. More at DripJobs.
3. PaintScout — Best for Production-Rate Estimating
What it is
PaintScout is estimating software for painters. Its estimating page says its production rates run "from walls and trim to cabinets," and a photo on that page shows a cabinet painting estimate being built on-site in a customer's kitchen. Customers can sign estimates electronically.
Pricing
The PaintScout pricing page shows Sales at $119 a month and an Operations add-on at $99 a month, both billed monthly in USD. Annual billing brings them to $99 and $79. Team seats under Operations are listed at $20 per user per month, and there is a 14-day trial.
Where it fits
A refinisher who wants estimates built from hours and production rates, with optional upgrades on the proposal, and who is happy to run the business from a painting-specific tool.
Tradeoffs
Upgrades are optional extras on a base price, not three packages side by side, and adding Operations puts you at $218 a month before any team seats. The head-to-head is in PaintScout vs QuoteIQ. More at PaintScout.
4. Jobber — Best for Simple Scheduling and Saved Templates
What it is
Jobber is a general field service tool. Its painting page lists cabinet refinishing among the job types for quote drafts and saved templates, and describes quotes with job photos, optional line items, deposits and staged payments, and a client hub where customers approve quotes and pay.
Pricing
The Jobber pricing page shows Core at $49, Connect at $139 and Grow at $199 a month with one user each, and Plus at $499 with five users. Extra users are $29 a month. It is month-to-month with a 14-day trial.
Where it fits
Crews that want a polished customer experience, a saved template for a standard kitchen and automatic quote follow-ups.
Tradeoffs
Cabinet refinishing appears once on the page, and I found no door or drawer production-rate tool. Five users cost $499 on Plus, against $224.99 on QuoteIQ Pro with one extra user, though the feature sets differ. See Jobber vs QuoteIQ for the detail. More at Jobber.
5. BuilderPrime — Best for Cabinet Refacing and Showrooms
What it is
BuilderPrime is software for cabinet companies. Its cabinets page names cabinet replacement contractors, custom cabinet shops and cabinet refacing companies, and describes branded proposals with electronic signatures, drag-and-drop scheduling with shared calendars, and deposit and invoice tracking. The page never uses the word refinish.
Pricing
The BuilderPrime pricing page lists a $300 monthly platform fee, $60 per core user and $10 per field user, so three core users come to $480 a month before add-ons. SMS messaging adds $200 a month plus $0.03 per message, and annual billing saves up to 17%. The page offers a free trial through a request form and states no length.
Where it fits
A cabinet seller that handles refacing and replacement through a showroom or design process and has several office users.
Tradeoffs
It is the most expensive entry here for a small crew, and a pure refinisher won't use most of what the platform fee covers. It is also built for sellers of new or refaced cabinets rather than refinishers. More at BuilderPrime.
6. Housecall Pro — Best for Staged Billing and Dispatch
What it is
Housecall Pro is a general home service platform. Its painting page pitches good, better, best options, staged invoicing for multi-day projects, job photos and checklists, and automatic review requests. It does not mention cabinets.
Pricing
On the Housecall Pro pricing page, Basic is $79 a month for one user, Essentials is $189 for five users and Max is $329 for eight users, with extra Max users at $35. Lower annual figures are shown beside them.
Where it fits
A refinishing company that already runs several technicians and wants dispatch and staged billing in one place. I compare it with my pick in Housecall Pro vs QuoteIQ.
Tradeoffs
Nothing on the page I read is cabinet-specific, and Basic covers a single user, so a two-person crew is pushed toward a higher plan. More at Housecall Pro.
7. Estimate Rocket — Best for Painting Estimates With a Refund Window
What it is
Estimate Rocket is estimating and CRM software for painters. Its painting page describes item templates built from your own services, rates and calculations, estimates customers accept online with a signature, a sales pipeline with automated follow-ups, and full or progress invoices. It does not mention cabinets or kitchens.
Pricing
The Estimate Rocket pricing page shows Launch at $139 a month with three full users, Accelerate at $259 with seven and Expand at $359 with fifteen. Additional full users are $79, $39 and $19, and field users are $10. It lists a 90-day money-back refund, and "Done for You" setup is $1,595, shown discounted to $995.
Where it fits
A painting company of three or more that wants templates for its standard jobs and a long window to walk away.
Tradeoffs
The entry price is $139, no cabinet language appears on the page I read, and the page describes no job photo feature. More at Estimate Rocket.
8. JobNimbus — Best for Exterior-Trade Crews Adding Cabinets
What it is
JobNimbus is a CRM for exterior trades. Its contractor CRM page describes estimates, proposals homeowners can sign through SumoQuote, job photos through a CompanyCam integration, invoicing and QuickBooks sync. Painting appears in the site menu, but the page describes the product as built for exterior trades, and it does not mention cabinets or kitchens.
Pricing
The JobNimbus pricing page publishes no dollar figures. Essentials, Pro, Premium and Enterprise all say "Request pricing," with three, ten, nineteen and twenty-plus users, and the page lists a 14-day trial.
Where it fits
A crew that already does roofs, siding or exterior remodeling and wants to add a kitchen refinishing line.
Tradeoffs
There is no published price, nothing cabinet-specific, and the product is aimed at exterior work, so interior refinishing is not what it is built around. That is why it is last. More at JobNimbus.
What Operators Say
None of the three reviewers in this post is tagged as a cabinet refinisher in the review database I pull from, which has no cabinet label, so read these as comments on quoting and invoicing in general, not cabinet work.
"As a new business, it adds a layer of professionalism that my customers love." — Four Seasons Exteriors (App Store review)
"This app makes it so much easier to quote jobs and send invoices, those are the main reasons I wanted in but there’s so much more in the app" — True Wash Solutions (App Store review)
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best software for a cabinet refinishing company in 2026?
For a small refinishing crew I'd start with QuoteIQ, which I co-founded and use in my own pressure washing business, because it offers good-better-best estimates on every plan, attaches job photos to the customer's estimate and starts at $29.99 a month. Only DripJobs and PaintScout say on their own pages that their production rates cover cabinets, at $97 and $119 a month. Cabinet sellers who do refacing and replacement should look at BuilderPrime. My ranking is a position, not a scored test, so load one real kitchen quote into a trial before you commit, from the first photo through the deposit invoice.
How much does cabinet refinishing software cost?
Painting-focused tools run $97 or $147 a month for DripJobs, plus $99 for its Production Rates add-on, and $119 for PaintScout Sales, plus $99 for Operations. General field service tools start at $49 for Jobber Core and $79 for Housecall Pro Basic and climb to $499 and $329 on larger plans. QuoteIQ runs $29.99 to $699.99 with extra users at $25 a month each. BuilderPrime is the outlier at a $300 platform fee plus $60 per core user, and JobNimbus publishes no prices. These are standard monthly rates read on October 15, 2026, and they change, so confirm before you buy. Add-ons and extra users move the real number, so price your own crew size.
How do you estimate a cabinet refinishing job?
Benjamin Moore's contractor guide tells estimators to budget time for hardware removal, sanding and prep, topcoating, an extra day for a second coat and reassembly hours after the paint cures. It has doors removed, labeled and finished separately, so price doors, drawer fronts and face frames as their own lines. In software that means line items with sub-items, saved as a template. Offer a tiered choice, such as standard paint or a premium finish with new hardware, and take a deposit for materials. QuoteIQ, Jobber and Housecall Pro all support tiered or optional lines in some form, which keeps the quote, the photos and the deposit in one document the customer can approve.
Can a painting CRM handle cabinet refinishing quotes?
Mostly yes, because cabinet refinishing is painting work sold by the kitchen. DripJobs names cabinets in its production-rate and substrate lists and refers to a cabinet refinishing business, PaintScout lists cabinets among the surfaces it prices by production rate, and Jobber lists cabinet refinishing among its quote-draft job types. None of the pages gave me a door-and-drawer calculator, so you will still enter counts and rates yourself, and that is true of QuoteIQ too. A rate-based painting tool saves typing, but it doesn't replace walking the kitchen and counting the doors. My roundup of the best painting contractor software covers the wider field.
Do cabinet painters need lead-safe certification for homes built before 1978?
EPA's lead-safe renovation page says the Renovation, Repair and Painting rule covers paid work that disturbs painted surfaces in homes, child care facilities and preschools built before 1978. It says the certification requirement includes all firms, even sole proprietorships, and that employees must be trained as certified renovators or on the job by one. Sanding an old cabinet finish can disturb painted surfaces, so check with EPA or your state before you quote older homes. I'm a software co-founder, not a compliance advisor, and QuoteIQ's documentation describes no lead-safe checklist. EPA's page was last updated June 17, 2026.
How do you show customers what refinished cabinets will look like?
From cheapest to most polished: sample doors finished in the customer's color, before-and-after photos from past kitchens attached to the estimate, and an AI preview image. QuoteIQ's Before/After generator is on every plan and uses IQ Credits, and the before-and-after photo editor in QuoteIQ Cam starts at Beginner. Jobber estimates can include job photos, and Housecall Pro lets crews capture photos on jobs. An AI preview is a sketch of the idea, so a real color decision still needs a sample board in the customer's own kitchen light. Photos taken before you start also protect you if a customer later asks what condition the cabinets were in.
Which cabinet refinishing software has a free trial?
QuoteIQ gives a 14-day trial on every plan, and a credit or debit card is required to start. PaintScout, Jobber and JobNimbus each list a 14-day trial on their own pages. BuilderPrime has a free trial request form with no length stated, and Estimate Rocket offers a free trial on request alongside a 90-day money-back refund. DripJobs lists no free trial but is month-to-month with no contracts. Ask each vendor whether the trial includes the add-ons you would actually use, since some are priced separately, like DripJobs' Production Rates and PaintScout's Operations. Whichever you choose, put one real kitchen through it during the trial, from first photo to deposit invoice.
How much should a cabinet refinishing company charge for a kitchen?
Published figures run wide. Angi's cabinet painting guide, updated August 17, 2026, reports an average of $940 with most projects between $425 and $1,470. Benjamin Moore's contractor guide gives $3,500 as an example of a typical cabinet paint job against upwards of $24,000 to replace the cabinets, and it is a paint maker's example, not a price list. The gap shows national averages won't price your kitchens. Build the price from your own hours and materials, then use job costing, which starts at Pro on QuoteIQ and is a $49 add-on at DripJobs, to see what a kitchen actually earned. Use the national numbers only as a sanity check.
Bottom Line
The cabinet-specific question isn't which tool has a cabinet button, because I couldn't confirm that any of them has a door-and-drawer calculator. It's which one gets a clean, tiered, photo-backed quote in front of the customer fastest at a price your crew can carry. For me that's QuoteIQ, with DripJobs or PaintScout ahead of it if cabinet production rates matter more to you than price. Harvard's Joint Center for Housing Studies projects about $519 billion a year in home improvement and repair spending but growth slowing to 0.5 percent by the second quarter of 2027, so winning the jobs you quote matters more than it did. Book a QuoteIQ demo and build one of your own kitchens in it.
